Posting while traveling 527mph, at 37,740 feet. En route from Boston to San Francisco, and diggin’ the fairly fast in-flight wireless internet access on Virgin America. With Linux-powered in-flight entertainment system, funky Miami-night-club mood lighting, purple plexi-glass cabin dividers, on-screen food ordering, I could really get used to this.
Must resist the overwhelming urge to do bandwidth testing, nmap scans, Linux hacking the entertainment system, playing Left 4 Dead, and streaming video. I am only traveling places Virgin goes to from now on. Now if they just had complementary massages, free alcohol, and a place to lie down and sleep.

From Babson’s Health Advisory page, our neighbors are fighting a solid outbreak of the norovirus. Vomiting, diarrhea, and general gastrointestinal distress. Ouch. The scary thing is the proximity that we all take for granted is definitely going to be the end of us here at Olin.
Just read the suggestion that Babson administration wants to “continue to encourage social distancing and discourage congregating.” Yikes. I do not want this. As my students would say: Do. Not. Want. Go away virus!

Sierra Wireless introduces a new EV-DO Rev. A card that will work in both PC-CARD and ExpressCard slots. I’m assuming ExpressCard34. So sweet. Finally, those of us that suffer with the MacBook Pro and a Windows laptop with PC-CARD can have our cake and eat it too. I don’t know why someone didn’t think of this thing earlier.
via Sierra Wireless AirCard 402 plays PC Card and ExpressCard roles.

Time is probably the single most valuable thing to me right now. Nothing makes that more obvious than looking over at the “Archives” section of this blog and seeing the following month timeline: March 09, October 08, July 08.
Yikes.
Reading my good friend Debbie’s blog zed equals zee, it became clear that for her, writing about her passion for independent music is truly just that: a passion. My blog has pretty much no topic focus, and therefore serves basically as a space-unlimited Twitter feed.
And speaking of time…I just ran out. Carter woke up and a mouse ran across our kitchen floor. Simultaneously. Gotta go. Sigh.
Wish I had more time…

I can’t promise much on the “more posting” part of the title, but the new theme part? Yeah, I managed to do that much. Credit to Grant at Philonoist, because I liked the theme he used enough to switch. Yep, it’s the No-frills theme.
More about that “more posting” part later. I hope.
