Apple and the non-feature feature

Tuesday 15 January 2008 - Filed under General + Hardware

Of course, I’m “watching” the MacWorld 2008 liveblog on Gizmodo. It’s January, and I gotta get my reality distortion field on. Anyways, in true Apple fashion, after introducing the MacBook Air with all the usual fanfare, Steve-o manages to make a non-feature a feature. Check out the next pic:

Awesome. The Apple MacBook Air comes with No CD-DVD Drive. Totally fuckin’ rad. And Steve, being the nice guy that he is, isn’t charging a dime for it!

This isn’t as bad as when he announced they were letting the iPod touch people get the iPhone apps “for just 20 dollars”…

I was in the keynote room (don’t ask, it was a required APM event) and it was dead silent.
