iPhone software unlock!
Okay, I don’t know why I keep posting this crap about the iPhone. I promised myself (and others) that I wouldn’t get caught up in the hype. Heck, I don’t even have an iPhone. But here I am, second day in a row, posting about the damn Jesus phone. Oh well.
Anyways, some nameless folks are trying to turn a buck by selling their supposed software unlock scheme for the iPhone. These guys at iphonesimfree.com unlocked some phones for bloggers and journalists, and the guys at Engadget got theirs unlocked. Ryan Block at Engadget tells the story, and it seems pretty legit.
Gotta wonder how long it’ll take the iPhone Dev Wiki folks to get to this point and release a free version (hopefully). My two cents is on wait and see, and you’ll get it before mid-September.
