Disgusting Degustation

Each year, Olin College puts on a service auction where people bid for things and the money goes to some awesome charity. This year, my wife and I auctioned a dinner. What was special about our dinner, coined “The Disgusting Degustation”, was that we were going to feed up to six students a massive amount of fast food, and only fast food.
On May 10, 2007, this event took place. And I am here to tell you that it was a fine event. We got food from: Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Krispy Kreme, KFC, Burger King, Wendy’s, McDonald’s, and Dairy Queen. We had six students, myself, and my wife. We spent close to $140.
The full calorie and fat count is in a Google Spreadsheet. It will tell you we bought 41,000 calories and about 2000 grams of fat in total. We consumed about 75% of that. Trust me, it was a gut-busting adventure. Here are the pictures to prove it.
Some before pictures:
Brian pointed out that Wendy’s (or was it Burger King) has exactly three predefined shapes for their nuggets. They are Heart, Circle, and Italy.
And finally, after about 5 hours of eating, taking a walk, and generally cramming as much food as we could into our systems:
We were all wiped out after this event. There was a lot of heaving at the end, but no reversal of fortune, luckily. Heck, it was all in the name of charity.
Looking forward to next year!
