Picasa and Geotagging, finally!
Friday 16 June 2006 - Filed under Internet + Software
The new Picasa Web Albums is here, and with it, a new beta version of Picasa. The coolest thing that I didn’t hear about is that this thing supports geo-tagging your pictures, of course, with the help of Google Earth.
So cool.
Cross-hair overlay on Google Earth maps, easy point and click tagging, and pop-out place (KML) balloons of your tagged pictures. Such cool integration. About time.
Now, to tag more pics and upload them to the Google servers!

You need the beta of Picasa. It is not obviously downloadable anywhere unless you get into the PicasaWeb trial, but I’m sure a Google search will turn it up.
