Fighting comment spam with Greasemonkey

I had set up a travel blog for a friend back in 2003 under MovableType. No such thing as comment spam back then, and I honestly haven’t checked out the blog since end middle of 2004. I swung over there today and low and behold, thousands of spams on only about 40 posts. In MT, you can delete comments, but only by checking boxes and submitting a form. With hundreds per post, that’s just not cool.

Enter GreaseMonkey and the Check Range script. One click followed by a shift-click, and you have a bunch of boxes checked. Life saver. Spam be gone!
